Way before the third Lion King movie came out, I was already intrigued by the surrogate father-son relationship between Timon and Simba. We all know of those moments when a parent realizes for the first time that their little kid isn't quite so little anymore, when they've grown taller than their parent or strong enough to lift them up. This is that moment for Timon.
